To help international students better adapt to their new semester's study and life, and to deepen cross-cultural communication and mutual assistance, an international student meeting was successfully held in Room 216 of the Business School on the afternoon of November 26th. The event was hosted by Teacher Sun Yali, and all international students of the Business School gathered together to start a new semester in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
At the beginning of the event, Teacher Sun Yali briefly reviewed and affirmed the academic achievements and growth of the international students in the previous semester. She mentioned that the students had overcome multiple challenges such as language and culture in a foreign land, actively engaged in their studies, and proactively integrated into the campus, demonstrating a tenacious and enterprising spirit. Then, Teacher Sun, based on the teaching arrangements and living needs of the new semester, offered targeted suggestions to the students: in terms of study, she encouraged everyone to maintain an attitude of active exploration, actively participate in classroom interactions and academic discussions, and make full use of school resources to enhance professional abilities; in terms of life, she hoped that the students would further open their hearts, deeply experience China's traditional culture and modern vitality, communicate more with teachers and students, and gain sincere friendships through mutual understanding, truly achieving "learning with success, acting with gains, and living in peace".
To break the ice and enhance mutual friendship, this meeting specially set up an interesting twisty stick interaction session. During the activity, the international students held brightly colored twisty sticks and fully exerted their imagination and creativity. They either independently conceived shapes or worked in groups of three or five to collaborate. Through bending, twisting, and splicing, various lively and cute works such as little animals, flowers, and ornaments gradually took shape. They frequently exchanged creative ideas and shared hands-on skills. The classroom was filled with laughter and joy. The originally slightly reserved atmosphere was replaced by a relaxed and pleasant one. Through hands-on practice, the students deepened their understanding and trust of each other, laying a good foundation for subsequent study life and cross-cultural communication.
This international student meeting is both a mobilization conference for the new semester and a warm "ice-breaking appointment". The Business School has always been committed to creating an inclusive, diverse and friendly learning and living environment for international students. Through various characteristic activities, it helps international students integrate into the campus, adapt to life and grow into talents. In the future, the school will continue to build more cross-cultural exchange platforms, so that international students can not only gain knowledge but also feel the warmth of China, make precious friendships and achieve self-growth and all-round development in the collision of different cultures.
