The mission of this club is to introduce students, both Chinese and foreign to public speaking and leadership using the Toastmasters guidelines. Toastmasters a worldwide non-profit organisation, 90 years old, and will provide members an opportunity to accelerate their mastery of English language, communication, organisational and planning skills as well as leadership roles.
This will also be a forum for Chinese students to engage with more and more native speakers of English language, and students from many countries represented by Ningbo University. We will also invite guest speakers from other clubs in Ningbo, Hangzhou, Whenzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan and so on, to provide training and offer mentoring opportunities for all members.
For this club we believe it will be beneficial for both students and teachers to join the club, to provide a mutual learning environment. The support of the Business College will provide a free venue, and assistance with the registration fee $125 will reduce the start-up costs.
